Dec 6th.

Dec. 6th -
The race for ideas is on.

In my family you don't have only one Christmas wish list that everyone else civilly sorts out between themselves. No, we have to have at least one list for each major family member. Which for me, a girl who really wants nothing more than time alone to game, is overly difficult.

That's not to say I'm not fueling the problem myself. I request at least ideas from my sisters and parents unless they'd rather only get the same, unavoidable gifts that they will receive every year ; Socks, gloves, and a notepad or tie (do your parents eat socks? For as fast as mine go through them, I think they do.).  Of course...that is also the reason that I have to provide ideas.

However, my siblings and I have gotten clever as we age. They've often resorted to buying one rather large present for a birthday or holiday and stating that it will also count for Christmas. While I've gone down the path of "Teach me how to do -some strange task or craft they know how to do- for Christmas".

However...no one else but my siblings will buy into it.

Thus begins the long difficult road that will come to a screeching halt upon the arrival of the dreaded Holiday Shopping Trip.

I feel I'm going to need this.
